Information about Kassiopi beach
The
beach of Kassiopi, extremely popular and crowded enough, is found in front of the homonymous tourist resort, at a distance of 37 kilometers northern to the town of Corfu. The beach, with fine pebbles and small stones, is organized offering facilities for swimming and sunbathing (sun beds, umbrellas). Some snack bars for a light meal and refreshments are available on the beach, where you can enjoy your coffee or you drink having a nice view of the sea. Access from the capital (Corfu, 37 kilometers far away) is possible by rented or private cars and motorbikes. Facilities for mooring of yachts and water and fuel supply are available in the small port in front of the village.
Car parking: Municipal car park or park on roadside.
Food outlets/restaurants: Full resort facilities providing a wide selection of eateries.
Sand/pebbles/shingle: Pebble and shingle beach - somewhat disappointing for such an attractive resort.
Sunbeds/umbrellas: Yes.
Showers: There should be but on inspection the showers, toilets and disabled facilities were all locked and the life guard facility was not operating.
Safe for children: It can get windy here and the water gets deep quite quickly. Supervision of younger swimmers is advisable.
Watersports: Maybe, Maybe not!
Main users: Tourists.
Well cared for: Not particularly. For such a pleasant resort, the beach comes as a significant disappointment.
(Despite the fact it has somehow acquired a Blue Flag!).
Mooring for boats: There is mooring at the harbour area but this is entirely separated from the beach area.
Next to quayside/harbour: No.
Storm drains/outlets into sea: None observed.
Natural shady areas: Kassiopi beach area is very exposed.
Any other facilities: This is a medium sized, full blown resort with good facilities.
Distance to main resorts: 0-1km depending on your accommodation.
Public transport: Bus service and taxis.
Blue Flag: Yes.
Kassiopi Corfu holiday Reviews:
Kassiopi - Julie Melton. Date of travel: Jun 2006
Having been going to Kassiopi for 15 years on and off and already booked next year for 2 weeks. It is lush, green and beautiful and the people are so welcoming. The harbour is bustling and comes gently alive at night - so many bars with karaoke, quiz nights or maybe just a drink - whatever you like really and a different restaurant every night. Janis is a superb restaurant overlooking the sea. Bolero - go get a wicked breakfast and go to Illusions and Jasmines for karoake and a good night. I would live in Kassipoi if I could or at least retire there, I have met people who have and all have been really happy.

What can I say about Kassiopi. It is absolutely wonderful, just like the whole of Corfu. Last year was our first visit to the island and we fell in love. It's green, scenic, friendly. we stayed in the Nikiforos apartments. Very basic but ideally located. The owners were fab, hired a car which is a must, there is so much to see on the island. Can guarantee something for everyone. The food is amazing and there is a different restaurant for every night of the week. Highly recommended. Can't wait to return. Tour Operator: Sunset
