Tsilivi, Zante GREECE - Guide to Tsilivi holidays
Tsilivi combines a traditional village atmosphere with all modern facilities expected of a holiday resort. With a 2km-long long sandy beach, which gently shelves into the crystal-clear waters, this beautiful coastal town is perfect for families with younger children. There are a number of beachside bars and restaurants to relax in and for those not content with lying in the sun, a large range of watersports activities is available.
Tsilivi is a much more developed resort than its neighbour, Tragaki, and has quite a buzz in high season. That said, Tsilivi retains a friendly charm all of its own, which is perhaps down to its relaxing, almost rural setting amid the olive groves. Families and young couples who enjoy walking, cycling and watersports will love it here. Tsilivi resort is split into two distinct areas - the resort centre is brimming with shops and restaurantsl. Both offer a naturally beautiful setting drizzled with Greek authenticity.
Tsilivi's great beach offers soft sands, warm bathing, a variety of watersports and a handful of tavernas and gardens located right on its edge. There's a large variety of places to eat and drink locally with Chinese, Indian and British tastes catered for. Alternatively, head into Zakynthos Town for a change of pace. Tsilivi's cocktail bars and traditional tavernas are popular without being manic. There are a couple of karaoke bars, and two clubs if you fancy living it up. There are several large supermarkets offering everything you could need during your holiday. You'll also find a few smaller shops in the resort selling more traditional items, such as embroidered goods or locally made clothing.

Situated on Zakynthos, one of the most beautiful and pitoresque islands of the Ionian Sea, which has been called by its Venetian rulers 'Fioro di Levante'for its unique beaty and dense green forests, the Louis Zante Beach is trully idyllic and worth discovering. It now lies half-buried in golden sands, and is a spectacular sight when viewed from the sea. You could venture further afield - perhaps to the nearby island of Kefalonia or the mainland? If you choose the latter, be sure to visit Olympia - the site of the original Olympic games. For a deep insight into the traditions of the island - attend a Greek night.

Information about Tsilivi beach
The beach of Tsilivi, some 1000 meters far from the beautiful tourist resort of Planos, is situated at a distance of 7 kilometers northern to the town of Zakynthos, at a lovely area with luxuriant green. It is a long, sandy beach very popular both for the wonderful sea and the facilities it offers. In summer, especially during the peak periods it attracts a lot of visitors and it is usually crowded. Tsilivi Zante holiday Reviews
Losing its charm - Bob. Date of travel: Jul 2006
I first came to Tsilivi in the late nineties and its amazing to see the change in crowd over the past decade. The beaches are still beautiful but I would have to say that it is slowly losing its charm as in other parts of the country.
